Yoga Philosophy and History

Introduction to the philosophical roots of yoga, including the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the Bhagavad Gita, and other classical texts. Understanding the historical development of yoga and its various schools of thought.

Anatomy and Physiology

Basic understanding of human anatomy and physiology, focusing on relevant body systems and structures involved in yoga practice. This includes learning about muscles, bones, joints, the respiratory system, and the nervous system.

Asanas (Yoga Poses)

Study and practice of foundational yoga poses, including proper alignment, modifications, and variations. Emphasis on both the physical execution of poses and the energetic and emotional benefits they provide.

Pranayama

Introduction to various breathing techniques used in yoga practice, their benefits, and proper execution. 200 Hours Teacher Training Course. This may include techniques such as Ujjayi breathing, Kapalabhati, and alternate nostril breathing.
